Cliff and Ruth Brady
The Bradys, understanding the importance of local education, have established The Brady Family Joshua D. Clifford Memorial Scholarship. The Brady’s have provided a sizeable endowment for the scholarship to honor their grandson who was killed in an accident on January 20, 2006. Josh Clifford worked at Brady’s along side his grandfather and uncles in the family business. Cliff and Ruth had hoped to help Josh attend EITC to further his education in business and take more responsibility in the store. Unfortunately this did not happen. The Brady family has endowed this scholarship to benefit people who want to get the skills to make a better life. The scholarship honors Josh Clifford’s memory of hope in a bright future. The scholarship will be awarded to students studying in the Marketing and Management program at EITC. The first scholarship will be awarded in April of 2009.
Cliff and Ruth Brady have always supported Eastern Idaho Technical College. Cliff was there the day ground was broken for the first building. It was a day of great pride for Idaho Falls. Cliff served in many capacities in support of the college. He was on the Technical Advisory Board, Business Advisory Board and the Foundation Board. In addition The Brady’s have supported the EITC Golf Tournament and have donated to scholarships at EITC for many years. Cliff has seen first hand the changes EITC has made in peoples’ lives. The Brady’s believe that education is the key to a healthy and vibrant community. They believe that EITC is a big part of the local economy and that more than people may ever realize, EITC faculty and staff are devoted to this community. Cliff and Ruth hope others will learn about what EITC has to offer the community and support both the school and the scholarship program.
