Rollin Thompson

You may have read in last year’s INVEST Magazine about Rollin and the 14.2 mile run
that he makes every year in honor of his cousin, Shelly O’Bryant. Shelly was a faculty
member in the EITC Business division who passed away over 7 years ago.

Rollin and Shelly had a very close relationship and both shared a love for education.
In her honor, Rollin began an annual EITC scholarship in her name that in 2010, met the
endowment point.

This is a tremendous effort by one individual who went above and beyond
to remember his loved one.

Thanks to the Shelly O'Bryant Memorial Scholarship, generations of EITC students will
have the opportunity to change their lives through educational advancement.
