EITC Foundation Home
The Eastern Idaho Technical College Foundation was founded in 1992. Business and community leaders joined together to help meet the expanding needs of the Eastern Idaho Technical College campus in Idaho Falls.
The EITC Foundation, through the generous giving of southeast Idaho communities, has been instrumental in funding scholarships for EITC students, physical expansion, technology upgrades, and program enhancements.
Through private funding, EITC Foundation endeavors to broaden and nurture the visibility and integrity of EITC, making it the northwest’s premiere comprehensive post secondary technical college.
EITC Foundation solicits and receives gifts, bequests, monies, and property to be held and managed for the benefit of EITC. Contributions come to the EITC Foundation through gifts of cash, appreciated assets including real estate, stocks, securities, bequests, matching gift programs, life insurance, and annuities.
EITC student scholarships have grown from $3,000 in 1992 to over $130,000 in 2005. In addition to scholarships, the EITC Foundation has purchased a computer lab, upgraded the EITC College vehicle fleet, programs enhancements, library reference materials, and campus improvements.
Each year the EITC Foundation sponsors a scholarship drive in April, an Annual Fund Drive in November, and a Golf Scramble in July.
All contributions to the EITC Foundation result in an Idaho tax credit and an income tax deduction. Endowments, charitable remainder trusts with lifetime income to donors, named scholarships, and endowed scholarships are available to contributors.
